The weather where we live somewhat started to be nice. Unlike the past couple days where Thursday felt like summer and Friday felt like Spring.
Here is a little update, since it's been so long since I did one.
Beginning of the year, we started it off by visiting a new place- not actually a place, but more of a new mall! It has been a month full of tears, I cried a lot- messed up on some things and regretful actions I had made which made an impact and left a huge lesson in my life.
I made a productive day when I decided to clear out the top section of my dresser and decided to showcase my babies (aka my cameras) and made a point to finish a book- which up to now (April) I still haven't.
Celebrated my mom's birthday with a simple birthday celebration. Now that my sister and I are both working in one department, we don't get weekends off together. So either I switch my weekend or send in a paid time off request, especially if it's a special occasion (such as family's birthday, valentine's or holiday).
Also, I gifted myself a new Bluetooth ear piece. I've had my JBL Bluetooth earphones but decided to leave and give it to my fiancé when we went back home. And yes, despite having my AirPods, I still wanted something I can use when I listen to music. And I found Sony was the one!
Ah! The love month, February. Also the month I tried to be good to myself and treat myself with some self-care sessions in a nail salon!
Valentine's Day, my family and I celebrated it by going to a restaurant we haven't tried. Of course, I had Long Island Ice Tea- my go to drink! My sister also tried this new Korean Restaurant near us and I can say, I'm definitely not a fan of Korean Chicken, or at least this one!
Also, this is the month I started doing mini self-care sessions. Which helps me a lot, especially having two jobs, I long for a quiet pamper time. We found this cute little Nail Salon who has really nice people and clean space! It's now our go-to and favorite Nail Salon!
Third month of the year, March! My birth-month, my thirty-second birthday! On my actual birthday, I took a day off from my full time job (that's a weekend) and my family went out to go to church in the morning and went out for dinner. My sister made my favorite Chantilly cake from her work, and it's the best cake I've ever had!
Few days after, I treated myself to a whole day off away from my part time (morning job) and had my regular day off in the hospital job. My sister and I went out to have breakfast, did some errands and in the afternoon I treated myself for a nice foot spa (pedicure). I had like a 30-minute hot steamed pedicure, it was definitely worth it!
The past three months has been a roller coaster ride, from dealing personal stuff + balancing work life and taking time off to take care of my mental health. I'm now starting to learn to take care of my mental health, watch my food intake cause I'm not getting any younger.
I have few drafts from our trip back home last November. And looking forward to more self care sessions and better year!
