There is no surprise that I love New York and it's scenic views. I've been to the city couple times, and I still get giddy and excited when we go and plan a trip. So when I got a chance to plan another New York trip and this time, with my husband, oh geez- I am all over the place and really happy! We were planning to spend two days and one night in NY but we didn't have enough time due to work and preparing all the township wedding stuff- plus we also wanted to see the city during Christmas Time, so before our wedding we hopped the train and spent the whole day in the city.
I am the type of person that sticks with the time itinerary, but this time it's different. We only had couple places that we wanted to see: Times Square, St. Patrick's Cathedral and I wanted him to try ramen at Ichiran.
Our day started at 0600, from our house, we drove to the train station to catch the earliest trip to Penn Station. We didn't anticipate how cold the weather it would be, so we only wore our regular jackets.
We arrived Penn Station in an hour, too early and all stores are closed, except for the small gift shops where we bought a pricey winter gloves just because I am too cold.
Our first stop was Times Square, nothing unusual, but because it's my husband's first time in New York- I wanted to show him Times Square. Even if it's too early, the place is still packed with tourists and photographers. Speaking of, we were so grateful for that one photographer who snapped really amazing photos of us, that turned out to be our "semi prenup photos". We had like almost 20 photos for $60, and they are like pro photographer type of photos, which we absolutely love and both decided to keep all photos.
From Times Square, we walked to St. Patrick's Cathedral to pay a visit in the church, but there was an event that we weren't able to come inside, so we decided to move and go to Rockefeller and see the Christmas Tree.
We also had lunch at Ichiran, I wanted him to try a good Ramen. Unfortunately, he didn't really like Ramens. At least he tried and I've been longing for some Ichiran, so cravings solve!
We didn't really have a full day itinerary so we can do whatever we can. I didn't want to go to Central Park on a really cold day, so we just stick between Times Square and Rockefeller. I was so happy I was able to convinced my husband to visit Madame Tussauds and thanks to the wax figure of The Rock sitting outside the building, that actually made him agreed for the most part.
We definitely enjoyed it, I know he did. We took a bunch of photos and I hoped I took videos or vlogged about this trip, but I am still at that phase, that phones are not a thing when we're together, unless it's for photo-op memory. I will be making sure that I will document (whether it is photos or videos) our trips together and will write anything, just so we can go back and re-read everything, reminisce all the memories we had on that day.
We both had so much fun, though it was short- there's always a next time for New York. Photos were limited due to the cold breeze in the city and we wanted to enjoy time together.
Til next time, New York
