After our trip in the Tulip fields in Holland Ridge, my dad surprised my sister and we visited downtown Philadelphia the next day. These posts are long overdue and I wanted to share some travel blogs for memory sake**
I packed the same purse I brought in our Tulip trip and packed my camera without my sister's knowledge and we drove to the train station. She really thought that we're going to hear Sunday Church that day, because the church we go to is the same route as where the train station is.
It took us almost an hour and half from West Trenton Train Station to Suburban Square in Philadelphia. From West Trenton NJ, the tickets were less than $10 (I can't remember the exact price of the ticket). And mind you, since the pandemic this is the first time I am taking a public transportation since the lockdowns.
From the Suburban Square we walked a few minutes to get to the Love Park. And we grabbed some coffee and breakfast at Capriccio Cafe and Bar~
I really enjoyed taking photos in this area. I have a few photos of the Love Park and as usual and I took few tourist-y photos and few architectural photos!
From Love Park, we walked our way to Liberty Bell which took us about 20 minute walk. It was really a nice day so walking wasn't an issue.
We had our lunch at Chinatown which is about fifteen minute walk from Liberty Bell. We actually had hard time looking where to eat cause most of the restaurants in the area were closed or not allowing dine in. So luckily we saw this small Chinese Restaurant (can't remember the name) and good thing they were open and had seats available for us four that time. One of the best Chinese Restaurant I’ve ever had, but nothing tops New York’s Chinatown.
Right after we had lunch at the Chinatown, we head back to Suburban Square to catch the next train schedule. It was definitely a short day, but glad that I get the spend and experience new places like this with my family. It was one of the books!
Photos were taken using my iPhone 12 and edited using Lightroom ~
