Long overdue post, photos were taken on September 30, 2021**
Ever since the pandemic started, I limited myself to going crowded places. But this is an exemption to the list. I've been wanting to visit a sunflower field ever since my sister mentioned it to me and showed me the photos! I fell in love with the beauty of the field.
We went to Holland Ridge Farms– located in: 86 Rues Road, Cream Ridge, NJ 08514 — it is one of the largest sunflower fields in the state.
U-Pick Sunflowers had three time slots per day. First batch is in the morning, then noon and last is at the afternoon. We picked the morning batch (started at 9am). Besides seeing the beauty of the 60 acres of flowers there are tons of stuffs to do in the farm (kids and all ages):
- Free Hayrides
- Say hello to their farm animals
- Pony Rides (weekends) for kids
- Food trucks and bakery
- Get farm souvenirs
It was one of my most awaited trip, I charged all my camera batteries (DSLR, GoPro) and even brought my film camera that day. I came prepared for this trip!
The drive was almost half an hour and we had the entire day planned for that trip and for my sister, since it's her birthday that day. And our first agenda was to visit our church and thanked the Lord for another year and another day. Right after that, we head out and grab some coffee and breakfast.
We arrived at the farm almost 9am just in time for their first batch. The farm was so organized and all of the crew are wearing their masks. Upon entering, you can show the crew your printed tickets or email/digital tickets. They also provide a little brochure where and what the ideal Holland Ridge Farm day is.
I was mesmerized how beautiful like literally HEAVEN, the place was! I just took all the photos that I can get! So brace yourselves, and enjoy these photos~

Holland Ridge is currently closed as sunflowers and tulips are off season. They should be open again in April for Tulip Season!
